With over 60 years in the business, Performance Ignition Services is Australia's longest established manufacturer & repairer of automotive distributors & ignition components.

Originally the brain child of John Farnell in the 1960's, Performance Ignition was then taken over by Gown-Hindaugh Automotive in 1972. They carried on until 1986 when Dick & Elaine O'Keefe took over and successfully ran the business for the next 26 years until their retirement in 2012, when they handed over the business to Andrew Makin and his wife Shayne.

With a highly qualified and skilled technical team, Performance Ignition is well respected amongst it's peers in the automotive industry. Having built it's reputation on quality workmanship and products, Performance Ignition has developed many business relationships, expanding on to an international platform, and distributes it's products all over the world.

Our clients include mechanical & auto electrical workshops, mechanical engineers, vehicle manufacturers and dealerships, race teams, aeronautical & aerospace engineers, government departments, car clubs & motoring enthusiasts.

Currently operating from Nunawading, Victoria, Performance Ignition Services offers an Australia wide service, and in most cases, on a same day turnaround.
